Alors que les premiers tests de pes 2009 annoncaient que du bon, la sortie de la démo change un peu la donne. Les forums se déchainent, les fans ruminent : PES 9 est decevant ! Graphismes pas à la hauteur, direction des courses limitées et une sensation trop arcade. Fifa 2009 sortira-t-il vainqueur ?

Reasons to be happy
1) Cool intro
2) Better graphics
3) More realistic playability (almost)
Reasons to be miserable:
1) Horrible music
2 The ball travels to slow
3) A number of players are not playing for the right team.
4) Playability will not suit everyone, since it involves more concentration and patients (those who struggled with pes 8, will no doubtedly find PES 9 to be difficult to play).
5)Choosing teams are no longer simplified
6)Networking: If you have a individual reference e.g. playing 5min or 10min games, you will have to host the match (PES 8, you were able to narrow down your game search, to play only 5 min or 10min games).
